Kamalini: Solidarity Tourist Route

In Kamalini they have come up with a creative way of working together with our organisation which is dedicated to the education of the most disadvantaged women.

It consists of a touristic route by Shahpurjat Village, south of Delhi, during which a guide explains the history of the city, and guides visitors around various monuments, a haveli (typical old style house of the area) and by visiting different craftwork studios. The route ends with a visit to Kamalini Vocational Training Centre, where the students can be seen in action and visitors are offered the possibility of contributing to the Centre by purchasing handmade products created by the students themselves.

Kamalini, founded in 2007, provides basic and professional training to girls and women from the most disadvantaged classes in Delhi, building their self-confidence and training them to obtain better Jobs
