"Hard work pays off"

This is the motto that encourages the Kimlea Technical Training Centre students. One Kianda Foundation project that aims to provide quality and personalized education to women and girls who otherwise would not have access to it.

Children's Health Programme

The project takes place in one of the poorest areas of Kenya, where malaria, respiratory diseases and cholera abound. It is intended for the provision of basic healthcare assistance and prevention for the beneficiaries for a period of ten years.

Working together for a world without discrimination

Although over the last few years worldwide poverty levels have decreased remarkably, there are still more than 1,200 million people living in conditions of extreme poverty. Many of them, specially women and girls, suffer from a lack of quality education and proper healthcare assistance.

"Cooperation and Solidarity close to home" is the subject of the round table discussion which will take place in the Can Deu Civic Centre, Plaça de la Concòrdia 13, Barcelona, on Monday 7 October, at 6.30pm, as part of the district's Annual Festival.

Counterparts in Liziba

The Montblanc Foundation has been collaborating for the last five years with various schools in Africa in order to contribute educational materials where necessary.

Pineda walks for Kenya

Pineda College students including the students in the final two years of secondary school staged a solidarity march to collect funding for the CHEP Project (Children`s Health Programme) run by Limuru, in Kenya.

II Solidarity Visit to the Codorníu Caves

The Montblanc Foundation organized on Sunday the 12th of May, a visit to the Cordoníu Caves to raise money for the Liziba Project, in the Democratic Republic of Congo. More than 40 people gathered to enjoy an enjoyable and fondly remembered morning.

World Water Day

World Water Day was celebrated on this day, a day marked this year in the context of the International Year of Cooperation in Water matters, held by the ONU for 2013. The reason for which the theme for this year was “Cooperation in Water Matters”.

International Day for the Elimination of Racism

With the purpose of contributing to the eradication of racism in the world, the International Day for Elimination of Racial Discrimination is being celebrated today with the 2013 slogan being “Racism and Sport”.
