On Tuesday, November 22 the XIV Edition of the Ordesa Foundation's Call for Aid awards ceremony was held for those organizations working to improve living conditions, nutrition and health of children in developing countries.
The Ordesa Foundation awarded the Montblanc Foundation a part of the 400,000 euros distributed amongst more than 60 beneficiary entities in this year's edition of the event. This aid is now earmarked for an infrastructure rehabilitation project for the Primary Care, Pediatric Surgery and Blood Bank Health Center of Mont-Ngalufa-I in the region of Kinshasa (DR Congo). The project was presented by María José García-Celma, a member of the Royal Academy of Pharmacy of Catalonia and the Board of the Montblanc Foundation; and Maria Pilar Arregui, manager of the Montblanc Foundation.
The ceremony, held at the Royal Academy of Pharmacy of Catalonia, was chaired by the deputy director of Health Promotion, Carmen Cabezas; the head of the Support Center for the Protected Youth of the Ministry of Labour, Francesc Balagué; the mayor of Sant Boi de Llobregat, Lluïsa Moret; the president of the Ordesa Foundation, Isolda Ventura; and a member of the Royal Academy of Pharmacy of Catalonia, Miquel Ylla-Català.
