The Foundation participated in a work task meeting in Navan (Ireland), organized by the EU's Youth in Action program.
From the 7th to the 9th of January, the participants, coming from Austria, Ireland, Portugal, Holland, Spain and the UK, studied ways of reinforcing existing links in society, making use of the internet, cooperation and interchange of experiences and good practices all more efficient, in order to propose a common project for society.
The project financed by the Youth in Action program is called “Youth: direct and innovate” and its principle aim is to develop a transnational training program for young people from across Europe, based on innovation, training and leadership skills, strengthening life styles and behaviour which encourage the full development of their role in civil European and international society, through formal or non formal education.
The economic and social situation in which we live makes the personal development of young people through work more important than ever. With this in mind, this project will pay special attention to the needs of those who have fewer opportunities, are at risk of giving up school or perform poorly at school.
